| International conference on Agro-Industrial Logistics in Mediterranean Area |
|
| On 12-13 December 2006 an important international conference on Agro-Industrial Logistics in Mediterranean Area, organized by Transportation Group of Universtity Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria (Italy) was held in Reggio Calabria (Italy). Representatives of many Italian and Euro-Mediterranean countries attended the meeting. The conference was preceded by a local meeting in Lamezia Terme (Calabria) about the Mataari Project work in progress (11 December 2006). |

| Workshop: Transport accessibility and logistics in urban, seaport and industrial areas: |
|
Regione Emilia-Romagna and Regione Toscana invite you to attend this workshop which will take place within the Carrara Mobility Show in Italy, at the premises of Carrara Fiere, Marina di Carrara (MS), on the 22nd of September 2006 at 14.30.
The workshop represents a forum of presentation and discussion among experts, local bodies, companies and institutions on concrete cases, solutions and innovative actions targeted at the promotion of SMEs’ competitiveness, at the reduction of transport environmental negative effects and at the use of ICT as strategic leverages for transport and logistics in urban, seaport and industrial areas.
The workshop deals with:
- the logistic management in industrial areas;
- the improvement of transport and logistic services to SMEs;
- the development of simulation instruments for monitoring urban and metropolitan traffic flows;
- the impacts on mobility and traffic stemming from the transport interactions between urban/metropolitan and seaport areas;
The workshop also targets the theme of the competences and of the training needs in transport and logistics.

The initiative is organised by Regione Emilia-Romagna and Regione Toscana within the European project MATAARI (INTERREG IIIB Medocc). It is free of charge and Italian-English translation will be provided.

| Workshop "Logistics and Transport Accessibility" |

The workshop is organised by Valenciaport and will take place at Hotel Solvasa Valencia (Avda del Puerto, 129) on June 20th, 2006:
Valenciaport Foundation invites you to attend the workshop “Logistics and Transport accessibility” organised as partner of the European Interreg IIIB MEDOCC project MATAARI to be held next june 20th. In this interesting workshop we will account with the intervention of Pedro Coca, Regional Secretary of Companies as well as, among others, with experts coming from the Valencia Municipality and the Port Authority of Valencia. The conference will be dedicated to the analysis of the role of logistic clusters in the improvement of freight transport at regional level as well as the relevance of the infrastructures for a sustainable accessibility and mobility of freight and transport users, with the practical case of the new infrastructures that are being developed in the Port of Valencia and its surroundings for the America’s Cup. |

| Workshop "Infomobility and Flexible Transport Services" |
|
The Regione Toscana, ATAF, the Public Transport Company of the Florence Metropolitan Area, and the AGATA project part-financed by the European Programme INTERREG IIIB MEDOCC are organizing a workshop “Infomobility and Flexible Transport Services: towards the governance and sustainability in European cities” in collaboration with ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and the Environment), the INTERREG IIIC SUNRISE, TRANSURBAN and MASCARA European projects and LIFE CEDM European project.
The workshop will take place in Firenze, on 25th and 26th May 2006. Please find attached the programme and the registration form for the event.
More than 30 speakers coming from different National and European areas, will present some significant experiences of mobility governance and ICT application to the overall transport chain. The workshop will affront the related institutional and normative aspects and the role of public transport and flexible services in the overall area of citizen info-mobility. The initiatives undertaken at national and European level will be also presented.
During the workshop a demonstration corner will present the IC technologies and systems most adapt for the governance of urban mobility and most diffused within the varied field of Infomobility.
